Michael G. SmithGraduated from Baylor University School of Law, (J.D. 1995).Mr. Smith was on the dean's list, an author, and one of the managing editors of the Baylor Law Review. Michael Smith also attended school at La Universidad Autonoma de Gradalajara in Mexico. Whitman College (B.A., 1987). Areas of Concentration: Michael Smith represents the interests of individuals who have been wronged through no fault of their own, including victims of personal injury, civil rights abuses, wrongful death, fraud, and breach of contract. Mr. Smith is fluent in oral and written Spanish, and joined the Peace Corps-Ecuador, South America, 1987-1989. Mike was an English teacher to Spanish speaking immigrants at Chemeketa Community College Extension Service, 1990-1992, and was a student in Caracas, Venezuela, 1981-1982. Michael is licensed in Oregon and the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas. Mr. Smith joined the firm in 1997 after practicing in Houston, Texas as a corporate defense attorney. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Smith was an insurance claims adjuster for two insurance companies in Oregon. Since 1998, Mr. Smith has been an active member of the Administrative Rules Committee of the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Mike is active in his church and community, and is the happily married father of three children. |
